Player-first mobile games

Two minutes or two hours.

We make mobile games built around the people playing them. Short enough for a coffee queue, deep enough for a long evening, and shaped by what players tell us.

Free with ads. Pay once to remove them forever.

Our first game

BlockZap

Drag. Snap. Zap.

BlockZap is a block puzzle. Three pieces at a time, an eight by eight board, and a line clears when you fill it. That is the whole thing, and it is meant to be.

No date is set yet. The waitlist hears before we announce anything anywhere else.

One email when BlockZap is playable. Nothing else, and you can leave any time.

Roadmap

You get a say in what we build.

Everything we make is shaped by what players tell us. Here is what that looks like right now.

Full roadmap

Now

What we are actively working on.

  • BlockZap

Our first game. A block puzzle for iOS and Android, still in development and not yet dated.

  • Ad-free, permanently

Play free with ads, or pay $4.99 once and never see another. One payment, not a subscription.

  • Kids Mode

One switch that turns off purchases, the leaderboard and player names, and holds ads to age-appropriate content. Built for our own kids first.

  • Listening to players

The suggestion box below is live now, before the game is. What we hear shapes what gets built.

Next

Lined up once the game is out.

  • Scoreboards

Somewhere to see how your run stacks up, with ranked runs kept clean so nothing on the board was bought.

  • Sharing with friends and family

Send a score or a board to someone and let them try to beat it.

Later

Wanted, but not scheduled.

Nothing here yet. Tell us what belongs.

This is what we are working on, not a list of promises. Nothing here has a date, and things move between columns as we learn.

The studio

Building games we want to play.

Yippee Studio is two people, a husband and wife, making mobile games together.

About Yippee Studio
  • Fun is the whole point

Two minutes or two hours, the only question that matters is whether you enjoyed it. Anything that gets in the way of that comes back out, however good it looks on a spreadsheet.

  • The leaderboard cannot be bought

Boosters and extra lives exist in normal play, and we are upfront about that. Ranked runs are a separate mode where nothing is for sale, so a place on the board is always earned.

  • Our kids play these too

That sets the floor for what goes into a game and what stays out of it. We build with younger players in mind, and we publish plain guidance for parents rather than burying it in a policy.

Why we started Yippee Studio

Two people, two frustrations with mobile games, and a plan to let the people who play ours decide what we build next.
