A two-person studio that would rather listen than guess.
Yippee Studio is two people, a husband and wife, making mobile games together.
We started the studio because of two frustrations. Too many mobile games hand you ads with no way out. And too many games you pay for stop getting updates once the money is in. We are a business and development has to be paid for, but removing the ads should be something you buy once and never think about again, and buying in should not be the last you hear from us.
The other half of it is listening. We would rather build what players actually ask for than guess at it, so the roadmap is public and the suggestion box is open before our first game has even shipped.
Fun is the whole point
Two minutes or two hours, the only question that matters is whether you enjoyed it. Anything that gets in the way of that comes back out, however good it looks on a spreadsheet.
The leaderboard cannot be bought
Boosters and extra lives exist in normal play, and we are upfront about that. Ranked runs are a separate mode where nothing is for sale, so a place on the board is always earned.
Our kids play these too
That sets the floor for what goes into a game and what stays out of it. We build with younger players in mind, and we publish plain guidance for parents rather than burying it in a policy.
Roadmap
What we're building
Now
What we are actively working on.
BlockZap
Our first game. A block puzzle for iOS and Android, still in development and not yet dated.
Ad-free, permanently
Play free with ads, or pay $4.99 once and never see another. One payment, not a subscription.
Kids Mode
One switch that turns off purchases, the leaderboard and player names, and holds ads to age-appropriate content. Built for our own kids first.
Listening to players
The suggestion box below is live now, before the game is. What we hear shapes what gets built.
Next
Lined up once the game is out.
Scoreboards
Somewhere to see how your run stacks up, with ranked runs kept clean so nothing on the board was bought.
Sharing with friends and family
Send a score or a board to someone and let them try to beat it.
Later
Wanted, but not scheduled.
Nothing here yet. Tell us what belongs.
This is what we are working on, not a list of promises. Nothing here has a date, and things move between columns as we learn.
