How it plays
BlockBolt is a block puzzle. Three pieces at a time, an eight by eight board, and a line clears when you fill it. That is the whole thing, and it is meant to be.
It is built to fit whatever time you have. A couple of minutes in a queue works. So does a long evening. Nothing about it demands a run of a particular length.
It is free to play with ads. Removing them costs $4.99 once and it is permanent. You can track your best runs, and a Kids Mode where purchases need a grown-up, names are hidden, and ads stay age-appropriate.
Fits the time you have
Two minutes or two hours. A round is as long as you want it to be, and stopping does not cost you anything.
Ads gone for one payment
Play free with ads, or pay $4.99 once and never see another. One payment, not a subscription, and it does not expire.
Nothing you buy wins the game
What you can buy is removing ads and coin packs for cosmetic themes, and none of it touches your score or your place on the leaderboard. We will not sell power.
Adventure: fifty levels, five worlds
Tidelight Reef, Emberwood, Frostpeak, Sunforge Dunes and Starhaven, ten hand-built levels each, with a theme to unlock at the end of every world. No timers, no lives, no boosters.
Plays with a screen reader
VoiceOver and TalkBack get a tap-to-place mode instead of drag, and the game honours your Reduce Motion setting.
Made for tablets too
iPad and Android tablets get a bigger board and a side-by-side landscape layout, not a stretched phone screen.
Works without a signal
Fully playable offline. Only the optional leaderboard needs a connection, and a best you set offline is sent when you are back.
Kids Mode
Purchases need a grown-up, no leaderboard, no names, and ads held to age-appropriate content. It comes on by itself for an under-13 answer to the first-run age question, a parent can switch it on for anyone, and only a grown-up with the parent PIN can switch it off.

Questions
What people ask about BlockBolt
When can I play BlockBolt?
We have not set a release date. BlockBolt is still in development, and we would rather ship it right than announce a date we then have to move. Join the waitlist and you will hear before we announce anything publicly.
What platforms will BlockBolt be on?
iOS and Android at launch. We are not planning other platforms right now.
Do I run out of lives?
No. There are no lives or energy timers. Play as much as you like, whenever you like. A run ends only when no piece fits, and you can start another straight away, or watch a short ad to continue the one you were on.
Can I test an early build?
Eventually, yes. When we are ready for outside playtesting we will invite people from the waitlist first.
